1. Your Dashboard at a Glance

When you log into GSCi, the Dashboard is your personalised landing page. It is built from six configurable widgets that surface the most relevant intelligence at a glance.

Featured News occupies the left column and highlights editorially selected supply chain stories. Beside it, a grid of widgets fills the remaining space:

  • Latest News — the most recently published news briefs across all entities.
  • My Reports — quick access to your purchased and custom reports, with a link through to the Publications catalogue.
  • Latest Trackers — recently updated market trackers and data series you follow.
  • Latest Reports — the newest analyst reports published on the platform.
  • Pinned Dashboards — TI Dashboard graphs you have pinned for quick reference (up to four shown).

Each widget acts as a gateway: clicking an item takes you directly to the relevant entity page, report, or dashboard graph. The layout is fully customisable — see the section on personalisation below.

2. Navigating with the Header

The header bar is visible on every page and provides quick access to the platform's main areas.

Entity Links in the header let you jump directly to listing pages for each entity type. These include Logistic Markets, Providers, Countries, Regions, Vertical Sectors, Industries, Technologies, Thematics, and Software Vendors. Each link opens an entity listing page with filters and category cards.

Data Hub takes you to the centralised data exploration area with links to Rank by Revenue, Top 10s, Mergers & Acquisitions, Major Contracts, Market Sizing, and the TI Dashboard.

Publications opens the publications catalogue, and News & Briefs surfaces the latest news articles. The header also contains your user menu (profile, settings, and logout) and the dark/light mode toggle.

Tip: The GSCi logo in the header always returns you to the Dashboard, no matter where you are in the platform.

4. Dark Mode and Light Mode

GSCi supports both light and dark colour themes. You can toggle between them using the theme switch in the header bar, typically found near your user avatar.

Dark Mode uses a dark background with light text, reducing eye strain in low-light environments. All charts, data grids, and UI components automatically adapt their colour palettes for optimal readability in dark mode.

Light Mode is the default theme with a white background and dark text, suited for bright working environments.

Your theme preference is saved automatically and persists across sessions — you will see the same theme the next time you log in.

5. The Onboarding Dialog

First-time users are greeted with an Onboarding Dialog — a seven-step survey that personalises your dashboard experience. The steps are:

  1. Industry Interests — select the vertical sectors most relevant to your work.
  2. Geographic Focus — choose the regions and countries you want to follow.
  3. Technology Preferences — indicate which logistics technologies interest you.
  4. Providers — select logistics service providers to track.
  5. Logistic Markets — choose the market segments you want to monitor.
  6. Content Types — specify the types of content you value most.
  7. Personalisation — set your content frequency preference (daily, weekly, or monthly) and provide optional profile details.

Your responses personalise the Featured News and Latest News widgets so they surface content relevant to your interests. If you dismiss the dialog, you can retake the survey at any time from the Customise Dashboard dialog.

6. Customising Your Dashboard Layout

You can personalise your dashboard through the Customise Dashboard dialog, accessible via the settings button on the dashboard page.

Reordering Widgets: Drag and drop widgets to change their position in the grid. Your preferred order is saved automatically and persists across sessions.

Toggling Visibility: Each widget can be shown or hidden. If you rarely use the Latest Trackers widget, for example, you can hide it to make more room for the widgets you use daily.

Restoring Defaults: If you want to return to the original layout, the dialog includes a reset option that restores the default six-widget configuration with the standard ordering.

The dashboard layout is stored per-user, so your customisations do not affect other members of your organisation.
